Dixie Landin’ Amusement Park Permanently Closed

Dixie Landin’ amusement park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is permanently closed. The park opened for its 2025 season on May 23rd and announced on social media that it was closed on Monday, June 2nd.

WBRZ in Baton Rouge reported that the park’s owner, Sam Haynes Jr., said they have no plans to reopen Dixie Landin’ due to low attendance. Blue Bayou water park is planned to reopen in 2026. WBRZ spotted a leasing sign on the Dixie Landin’ property.

Dixie Landin’ opened in 1999 with rides relocated from the defunct Fun Fair Park.
