Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to Feature Selectable Star Wars Destinations in 2026

Disney has announced new details for the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run updates, which are set to arrive at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The updates will debut on May 22, 2026, to coincide with the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu feature film.

New Storyline

The new storyline features Hondo Ohnaka organizing a bounty hunt, and starts on Tatooine, the planet made famous in the original 1977 Star Wars film.

Hondo Ohnaka has gotten wind of a deal going down on Tatooine between ex-Imperial officers and a band of pirates. There’s a generous bounty for their capture, so you’ll borrow the iconic ship and team up with Mando and Grogu to track them down and explore the galaxy.

Selectable Destinations

The updated attraction will let guests choose between one of three possible destinations:

  • Bespin, the gas giant planet that features Cloud City

  • The wreckage of the second Death Star above Endor

  • The city-planet Coruscant

More Details

Disney also announced that the engineer positions on the attraction can communicate with Grogu.

The new details were announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan as part of the panel “Disney Experiences: Building the Galaxy with Walt Disney Imagineering.” The mission for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run featuring Mando and Grogu was initially announced at D23 2024 on August 10, 2024. At SXSW 2025 in March, Disney made additional announcements, including the opening date of May 22, 2026, and that Bespin would be a featured planet.
